Elkhorn Motors is happy to present this beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle 300 Deluxe Sport Coupe SS 396, a classic American muscle car featuring big-block Chevrolet power, a four-speed manual transmission, and iconic Olympic Gold and Dover White SS styling. Under the hood is a rebuilt 396ci L34 V8 equipped with a four-barrel carburetor, chrome air cleaner and valve covers. The short block and cylinder heads were rebuilt with hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear end with 3.31:1 gearing. Finished in Olympic Gold with a Dover White roof and white side stripes, the exterior features a twin-domed hood, black grille, driver-side mirror, chrome bumpers, and classic SS styling. The body was removed from the frame, stripped, and repainted during a refurbishment completed in 2017. The Chevelle rides on 14-inch Sport wheels wrapped in reproduction Firestone Wide Oval raised-white-letter tires. Equipment includes power steering, power-assisted front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, and a dual exhaust system. Inside, the cabin features re-trimmed black vinyl front and rear bench seats, black rubber flooring, a Muncie floor shifter, retractable front lap belts, and an AM radio. The dashboard houses a 120-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, and factory warning lights. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 30,000 miles. With its rebuilt 396ci L34 V8, Muncie four-speed, 12-bolt rear end, classic SS appearance, and desirable Olympic Gold and Dover White color combination, this Chevelle offers an excellent example of late-1960s American muscle.
